God is My Rock

All around storm
clouds rage
Thus I turn the Bible's page
Though trouble haunts me night and day
I will listen closely to what God has to say
In troubled times
my comfort is in him
Through waters to grueling to swim
On a road to hard and the way to long
The Lord is a rock to keep me strong
Hand in hand we
shall go life's way
When faced with problems let me pray
Speaking to God about my worries and grief
He will faithfully reassure and give relief
Though the way
seems weary and drear
I know that my God will always be near
Though the world tries to crush me he is there
For his Son he sent to die to show that he does care
He is my rock, my
strength, my anchor in life
He is the one that lifts me above the pain and strife
And, if I am found faithful at the end of it all, I know
That to be with God and Jesus I shall surely go
