Friends
Friends are
the roses in life's bouquet
Filling our hearts with joy each day,
And when trials and troubles come our way,
They bring us comfort as we pray.
Friends are the daffodils, bright-yellow tones;
They leave happy thoughts when we are alone.
They bring us laughter and cheer us on,
Changing our sadness into a happy song.
Friends are the lilacs, fragrant and sweet -
A gift from God to make life complete.
He knew we'd need someone by our side
To share His love, as in Him we abide.
Roses and lilacs and daffodils -
They help to weather life's troubles and ills.
A friend can laugh or can cry with you...
Thank God for a friend that's kind and true.
